Artist and illustrator

I am an Aotearoa-based contemporary artist and illustrator, working in oil, watercolour and mixed media.

After graduating with a Bachelor of Art and Design (Hons) from AUT I worked for a number of years as a commercial artist, before returning to traditional media in 2024.

I am inspired by the often unexpected colours of nature and my works are developed based on an extensive library of reference photos I have taken in New Zealand and overseas. My works are developed through an exploration of colour, texture and expressive mark making. I am less concerned with realism and more with capturing the feelings I’ve experienced when standing in these places.
